| Manufacturers warranty Teak Patio Furniture Direct's furniture is warranted to the original purchaser by the manufacturer for a period of time as specified by the manufacturer against defects in the material and workmanship as to the furniture components. The word "defects", as used in this warranty, is defined as imperfections that impair the utility of the product. The warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear effects of the furniture. Normal wear and tear is defined as "the normal deterioration that is received by regular use of any piece of furniture." This warranty does not cover damage, loss, or other conditions beyond Teak Patio Furniture Direct 's control such as damage resulting from unauthorized repair, damage caused by improper use of a Teak Patio Furniture Direct umbrella without the support of our recommended Parasol Base AND in conjunction with a Teak Furniture Direct Table designed for our Umbrellas, infestation, negligence, misuse or abuse, acts of God such as: wind damage, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fire, monsoons, typhoons, cyclones, and any other events that are based on natural causes. *This Warranty only applies to teak furniture purchased from Teak Patio Furniture Direct This warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of furniture components having defects (please note that umbrella rivets are designed to shear under great pressure in order to prevent damage to the teak arms in the umbrella assembly. The shearing is by design and not by defect. If the furniture component is defective within the terms of the warranty, it will be the decision of Teak Patio Furniture Direct as to which method of resolution is used to repair the defective component. In the event of piece replacement, no assembly labor is included. This includes replacement of any item that can be replaced. If the customer feels that they can not replace the defective component, the defective component may be returned to our warehouse for replacement at no cost to the customer. It will however be the customer’s responsibility to pay for all shipping charges. In the unlikely event that a customer has a defect, we will require photos of the defect so that we can determine the extent of the defect to determine the most efficient solution to resolving the defect. The cost of the photos will be the customer's responsibility. We will require that the photos emailed to us or be mailed to our corporate headquarters for evaluation: After we receive the photos, we will make a determination on the resolution. Of the options that we would potentially recommend, the highly recommended option of acquiring the services of a local woodworker/carpenter to repair the defect at our expense, carries the least risk for additional damage while shipping defective items back and forth. We will reimburse the customer or pay the repairman directly for the repairs. If the customer decides that he would prefer to ship the defective piece to us, it will be the customer's responsibility to ensure that the packaging is sufficient to prevent further damage. Teak Patio Furniture Direct must be contacted prior to any shipment of defective pieces and before any third party repair person is contacted. This warranty applies under conditions of normal use, but does not apply to defects that result from intentional damage, negligence, or unreasonable use. The terms of this warranty may change without notice, but will never be modified in such a way that eliminates customer protection for manufacturer's defects or the length of the warranty. Please note that international orders are nonreturnable and noncancelable. We will only replace defective components of a particular piece of furniture. Replacement of the entire piece of furniture is not warranted unless ALL components of that piece of furniture are defective. |
